A little more about Majorca
Majorca (or Mallorca) is a Mediterranean island of immense natural beauty and the largest of the Balearic Islands off the South East coast of Spain.
Majorca has lost its early reputation for mass tourism, and today the island has reinvented itself with a more upmarket edge, encouraging visitors top explore its varied coastline and inland.
As one of the most popular destinations for all nationalities, Majorca really does offer something for everyone - whether it be relaxing on the beach, culture seeking and shopping in historic Palma, exploring the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, a walker's paradise...
With its typically Mediterranean climate you can expect very hot summers yet mild winter temperatures. Rainfall is fairly low particularly during the summer months, with October through to January typically the time when rain is more likely.
Majorca is a year-round favourite and the perfect choice for holidaymakers, those seeking a retirement property or indeed those seeking a sound property investment.
While many parts of the Majorcan coast have been developed to full capacity, it is still possible to find uncrowded beaches, peace and serenity if that is what you prefer.
If watersports feature on your wish-list, the selection available is impressive, with many parts of the coast offering tremendous sailing urfing, snorkeling and diving opportunities.
You can also enjoy an authentic slice of Majorcan life on the island without having to travel too far or off the beaten track.
